Moving out of Aledo, Texas

Aledo is a small Parker County city of 4,858 residents (2020 Census), set about two miles south of Interstate 20 and roughly halfway between Fort Worth and Weatherford. FM 1187 is the main road into town. At approximately 50 miles west of Farmers Branch, it is one of the farthest points in our DFW coverage. Aledo is mostly a city of owners: in 2020, 84.4% of occupied homes were owned rather than rented, and close to 69% of households were married couples. Homes range from the Original Town area near downtown to newer subdivisions such as Parks of Aledo and Bear Creek Ranch. Aledo Independent School District serves the city. For an interstate move, the truck typically heads up FM 1187 to I-20, which runs west toward Abilene and Midland and east through Fort Worth toward Dallas and the rest of the country. Because Aledo households are mostly family homes rather than apartments, moves here tend to involve full houses, garages and outdoor items.
