Grapevine is a Tarrant County city of 50,631 residents (2020 Census), with small portions in Dallas and Denton counties. It contains a larger share of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport than any other city, and the airport's 1974 opening helped turn a farm town into a regional commerce center. State Highways 114 and 121 cross the city south of downtown and run together toward the airport's north entrance, where they split. I-635, SH 26 and SH 360 add more routes out, so a long-distance truck has several ways to reach the interstate network. Residential Grapevine stretches from the blocks around Historic Downtown and Main Street, with its 1909 calaboose and restored train station, north toward Grapevine Lake, the reservoir built in 1952. Most of the city is in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, while the northwest falls in Carroll ISD and smaller areas in Lewisville and Coppell ISDs. Heavy airport and visitor traffic on SH 114 and SH 121 is worth planning around when you pick a loading time. Green Van Lines, founded in 2007 as the first eco-friendly moving company in the US, runs long-distance moves out of DFW, including Grapevine.

Grapevine questions
Which highways does a long-distance move out of Grapevine use?
Most Grapevine moves use State Highway 114 or State Highway 121, which run together through the south side of the city toward DFW Airport's north entrance. I-635, SH 26 and SH 360 are other options depending on your destination.
Which school district am I leaving in Grapevine?
Most of Grapevine is in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Northwestern Grapevine is in Carroll ISD, and smaller areas are in Lewisville ISD and Coppell ISD.
Does DFW Airport traffic affect moving day in Grapevine?
It can. Grapevine contains more of DFW Airport than any other city, and SH 114 and SH 121 carry airport and visitor traffic through town. Building some margin into the schedule for those corridors helps a long-distance truck leave on time.
