Coppell is about seven miles from our Farmers Branch base, and it borders the northeast corner of DFW Airport, with part of the airport property inside city limits. The 2020 Census counted 42,983 residents, mostly in Dallas County with a small northern section, including the Coppell Greens subdivision, in Denton County. Coppell grew from a farming village into a settled suburb during the 1980s and 1990s, and nearly all of its residential land was built out by 2000, so most homes here are established rather than new construction. No freeway crosses the city itself. Instead, State Highway 121 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway run along the west and north, I-635 along the south, and the President George Bush Turnpike and I-35E to the east. That ring of highways gives a loaded moving truck several ways out, depending on the destination. Green Van Lines has been a long-distance mover out of Dallas–Fort Worth since 2007 and was the first eco-friendly moving company in the US.

Coppell questions

Is there a freeway through Coppell for the moving truck?

No freeway runs directly through Coppell. The city is ringed by SH 121 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway on the west and north, I-635 on the south, and the President George Bush Turnpike and I-35E on the east. We choose the exit point based on your destination.

I live in the Riverchase area. Which school district is that?

The eastern section of Coppell, including Riverchase, is served by Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD rather than Coppell ISD. Riverchase Elementary is a CFBISD school located in Coppell.

My Coppell home is in Denton County. Does that change anything?

Most of Coppell is in Dallas County, but a small area in the far north, including the Coppell Greens subdivision, is in Denton County, and the northernmost section is in Lewisville ISD. The move itself works the same way. Just use the correct county when you update records like vehicle registration.
