What will be final cost of my move?
The Green Van line provides the best moving services at the very reasonable costs as compared to other moving companies. However, your final moving cost largely depends on the various factors such as the services you wish us to provide, the services you are willing and able to do yourself such as packing, whether you will provide your own boxes or wish to purchase clean, unused recycled boxes from us, the volume of goods to be moved and the distance you are moving. Green Van Lines operates locally based on flat guaranteed price. All services, including packing, unpacking and basic disassembly/re-assembly are performed at the flat guaranteed rate provided to you by your relocation consultant.
What is the time period in which I should book my move?
It is advisable that you should book your move as early as possible. Although Green Van Lines are also capable of managing the last minute moves even if it is ordered on the same day. However, it will be beneficial if you take more time as this will enable you to be more prepared for your move. There are busy and slow times of the year and month. Generally, the busy months are April through December. We normally recommend a two weeks’ notice, however, sometimes we are booked for particular days or weeks in advance. Also, you will want to make sure you have enough time to get and review quotes before you make your final decision. So, ideally, starting at least one month prior to your anticipated move day is a good idea.
Will my furniture will be packed by the movers?
Yes, the Green Van lines packs your furniture also besides packing other essential items. Light items such as books, linens, clothing, dishes, pots and pans and other miscellaneous items are packed in boxes. Furniture is padded and made ready for transport. Wrapping furniture, vinyl wrapping mattresses, crating glass and marble are examples of how Green Van Lines preps your furniture for safe transport. The blankets and tape we use to wrap and secure your goods are provided at no extra charge.
What is the need of insurance if I hire the reputed and renowned moving company?
For the same reason excellent drivers still need to have car insurance, because regardless of how careful you are, the possibility of damage still exists. Our movers are people, human beings, and there exists the chance of error and damage.
I want to insure my few valuable goods that are in nice shape as most of my goods are junk?
If you take additional valuation you must declare a lump sum value for the entire shipment, junk and non-junk. If you move with Green Van Lines and have a total shipment valued over $50,000 you may not purchase additional valuation on the day of the move and will need to make prior arrangements.
What will happen if there is any brakeage caused by the movers?
If any of your goods has been damaged by our movers then various factors are considered. If you opted for additional valuation, and the item is repairable, it will be repaired. If it is deemed irreparable, you will be reimbursed for the depreciated value at the time of damage. If you opt for outside insurance coverage, all claims will be handled by the insurance company directly. Green Van Lines has a dedicated claims manager and expert repairperson on staff.
Do you provide the short term warehousing services?
Green Van Lines has both long and short term storage solutions. There are no long term obligations and if you find out last minute that you need your thing to be stored for just a while longer we are always here to provide you with the services you require.
What is the period of time in which I should start packing the goods?
If your free time is limited, try starting early and packing a little at a time. Start with the things you absolutely will not need, and work your way towards the essentials. Packing will be more time consuming than you think. Bear in mind your packing style, do you try to get it all done in one day or weekend, or would you prefer to spread it out over a few weeks packing a few boxes every day.
