When shifting your belongings from one place to another, every person hope that the moving must end smoothly and every valuables are safe and secure, which is not that easy. There are many obstructions that can spoil the smooth transition.

Rain is one such factor that can wreck havoc to your belongings at the time of the moving. This can make the moving process a nightmare if you are unprepared about the rain.

These bags are completely water proof and can save your mattress from rain. Always make sure that your appliances are kept inside the box and they are safe from the rain. Ask the movers to place resin paper at the truck floor so that the water that entered into the truck must not logged and can drain out easily.  You can also provide the resin paper by yourself if the moving company don’t have.

So always plan the packing of your valuables to be rain proof and save your items being rain drenched.

  • Is it necessary for pets to be quarantined? If yes, then where and if any reservation required?
  • How long is the quarantine process?
  • What are the documents required before and after move (or after arrival).
  • Any age restrictions?
  • Any restrictions for any particular breed?
  • What are the vaccinations required before and after the move?
  • Any physical examination required?
  • How to get through the customs and how long will it take?
  • Any types of fees or charges for pets?

By now you have gathered all the required information to prepare your pet for an international move, therefore its time for you to consult a vet. Get the required tests done and vaccinate appropriately.

Ask About:

  • Time schedule of vaccination
  • Apart from the consulate prescribed vaccines, ask the vet if your pet needs few more vaccines.
  • Ho long the pet will be safe and comfortable in the carrier?
  • Will your pet need sedatives?
  • Any specifications for quarantined process?
  • Required documents?
  • Is the pet fit enough to bear the moving stress?
  • Advice for better pet transportation?
  • How to feed the pet before, during and after the move?
  • Just before the move, is there any requirement for another check-up?
  • Any recommendation about vet in another country?

Make necessary reservation earlier:

During air reservation for pets, most air carrier company suggests IATA (International Air Transport Association) to carry your pets. They are authorized as safe pet carriers, moreover they are well quipped to help you move with pets of all size and kinds.

Ask About:

  • Is there space available to accommodate the pet in hold rather than in baggage area?
  • If there isn’t any space available in the hold, then what is the temperature in the baggage area?
  • Will there be proper identification facility for pets like stickers or labels?
  • What happens to pet if flights are rerouted?
  • Where to check-in the pets?
  • How soon or at what time the pet needs to be in the airport?
  • Cost for pet transportation?
  • Documents required fetching the pet?
  • Any weight restrictions?

After everything formal or official gets over, click 3 copies photos of your pet. Stick one copy on the carrier, keep one with you and give the other to the person who will collect your pet after arrival, if you are not coming for the welcome. Furthermore the snap will help or assist you, in case your pet is misplaced.

Purchase a collar and mark or fix a tag where your current and old address should be written with your name and contact number.
